Hawks stun 76ers on Collins’ late jumper to win the game by 123-121

Jimmy Butler had 30 seconds that could have resulted in the team’s win. However, the Philadelphia 76ers star point guard lost the ball during when the game was tied and that allowed the Hawks’ John Collins to make a fadeaway jumper shot with 25 seconds left to the game for gaining the lead for the Hawks.

Butler still had the chance to redeem the team with 2.4 seconds left to the game and had two shots. First shot rattled and missed the basket. Second shot, clanged on the backside side of the basket rim.

Wilson Chandler of the 76er tied to slip under the basket to make a gimme tip-in shot after the second attempt failed but failed to do so. Thus the Friday night game of basketball between Atlanta Hawks VS Philadelphia 76ers ended with Hawks win by 123-121.

Butler after the game said, “I hope we are still together and nobody is pointing fingers at anybody.”

Kevin Huerter took the lead of the Hawks with his 29 points during which he managed to hit 5 3-pointers. As for Collins, he scored 25 points for the team.

Huerter said to media, “I had a pretty good rhythm during my fourth quarter. We just kept on running and making plays while working with each other.”

76ers

As for the 76ers, they were led by Butler who scored 30 points while Ben Simmons scored 23 points with 15 assists and 10 rebounds.

Butler talking about the team’s defeat said, “We just got to fix it. I think we are going to be fine. All I know is everybody is in there. We are all in it together. We are not going separate ways”.

Up next, Atlanta Hawks will host a game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday while Philadelphia 76ers will play against the New York Knicks on Sunday night.
