James Harden and Russell Westbrook lead Houston Rockets win against Trail Blazers

James Harden has been scoring for the Houston Rockets at such a frivolous rate in this NB season that his attempt for 36 points actually felt like quite a dip in the win against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Terry Stotts, the coach for the Trail Blazers said laughing a little, “He had a great scoring night.”

Russell Westbrook also led the Houston Rockets with his 28 points which included a triple-double to allow Houston Rockets to win their 8th game in a row. They defeated Trail Blazers by 132-108.

As for Harden, who had scored a minimum of 30 points in the last 8 games, scored 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 5 assists.  He is leading the NBA scoring list this season with his career-high scoring average of 39.2 points. The other player to come close to him is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks with his 30.3 points average per game.

Westbrook said, “I think to some people, they tend to realize the greatness to be a normal thing when they see it many times. But it is really not normal because no one in the league can do it.  If this was something normal then everybody would be doing it. He is in a position that makes him one of the best scorers of all time.”

Westbrook, along with his 28 points had 10 assists and 13 rebounds to have his season’s 3rd triple-double playing for the Houston Rockets. As for his career, this was his 141st triple-double.

Mike D’Antoni, the coach for Houston Rockets loved the way both Harden and Westbrook connected and played with each other.

For the most part of the gamer, Houston Rockets led the scoreboard with a lead of double digits.

As for the Trail Blazers, they were led by CJ McCollum who added 25 points while Damien Lillard could only score 13 points.

Up next, Rockets will play against the Denver Nuggets while Trail Blazers will play against New Orleans Pelicans.
