US Open; Serena Williams face to face with Naomi Osaka in finals

After the conclusion of the US Open semi finals, Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka will be facing each other in the finals.

Serena; the six time champion easily defeated Anastasija Seveastova with a  score count of 6-3 and 6-0 while Osaka made into her first grand slam final by beating the last year’s runner up Madison Keys by 6-2 and 6-4.

If Serena Williams manages to get the victory against Osaka in the Saturday final of the event; it will mark her equality with the record of 24 Grand Slam single titles previously held only by Margaret Court.

36 years old Williams who became a mother just a year ago suffered from a life threatening medical problem. During her pregnancy she developed blood clots. After her match on Thursday concluded she aid to media that, “to be able to come from that condition of lying in the hospital bed not being able to move much less walk or do anything else; now only a  year later, I am not training instead I am actually in the finals and two in a row.”

She further added, “To be able to make it this far; I am really looking or possibilities ahead. I personally feel that there is actually a lot of growth that can be thee for my game and this is actually the most exciting part. Even though I am no chicken spring no more, I still have a very bright future ahead of me.”

Naomi Osaka is actually 16 years younger than her tennis heroin Serena Williams. Now she is going to face off against her in the US Open Finals.

Osaka said to media that, “It feels very surreal. Ever since when I was a kid I always dreamt that I would one day play against Serena in the final of Grand Slam. In this moment, even when I feel that I should enjoy this moment, I remind myself to think of it as just another important match”.

Osaka previously had a match with Serena in the Miami Open held last year in March.
