Zlatan Ibrahimović and Los Angeles Galaxy both part ways mutually after 2 years

Zlatan Ibrahimović and the MLS team Los Angeles Galaxy are finally parting ways with each other mutually after 2 very great years. The news was announced by the 38 years old Swedish soccer star as well as by the club.

Zlatan Ibrahimović wrote on his Twitter account, “I came, I saw and then I conquered. Thank you LA Galaxy for making me feel this much alive again.  To all the fans of Galaxy, you wanted to see Zlatan and I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome.  The story will continue. Now go back to watching the baseball.”

Every since Zlatan Ibrahimović joined LA Galaxy and played for them in 56 games, he scored 52 goals. This season of MLS alone, he scored a record of the franchise; 30 goals which are far more than the entire roster could score this season, which is 28 goals.

Chris Klein, the president of LA galaxy said, “Since the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimović back in March of 2018, he has influenced the game of soccer for LA Galaxy positively. We are very grateful for his work ethic and his passion for the sport. We also thank Zlatan Ibrahimović for his impact on the community of the LA also on the whole of the North American soccer community.”

While Zlatan Ibrahimović has been the most key player for the LA Galaxy for the last 2 seasons, they still did not expect for him to end his career with them as he does not seem to be looking ahead for retirement. There had been a rumor about his departure from the Galaxy as Zlatan Ibrahimović has never ever stayed with a club for more than 4 seasons.

There has been some news that Zlatan Ibrahimović might be retiring back to his old team; AC Milan where he played for 2 seasons and scored a total of 42 goals in Serie A from the year 2010 to 2012. At the moment, Milan is in a really bad situation in the Italian league as they have scored only 11 goals in the last 12 games.

Ibrahimović alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the only players who have scored 500+ goals in their careers for the clubs and international games. Ibrahimović scored his career’s 500th goal last season with the LA galaxy.
