Clippers avoid the elimination once more against Warriors after winning Game 5

The Golden State Warriors have lost their second home game against the Los Angeles Clippers in their first-round series of the playoffs. With this loss, Warriors are still with ahead by 3-2.

The LA Clippers defeated the Warriors out of their comfort zone with energy on both offense and defense.

Lou Williams, who hit a fadeaway jumper with 2 minutes to the clock, led the team with his 32 points and 10 assists to win over the Golden State Warriors by 129-121 on Wednesday night in the game 5 of the first round playoff series.

Warriors, the 2-time defending champion were hoping to celebrate with a win as they are leading by 3-2, but even Kevin Durant’s 45 points for his playoff career high could not help them.

Doc Rivers, Clippers coach said, “I do not want to get ahead of myself. They are still ahead by 3-2 but I still love as how we played tonight. I really am. All we talk about is being us. I told my guys that we need to play a game where we are us throughout the game.”

Earlier in the Game 2, LA Clippers managed to make one of the best comebacks of the NBA playoff history after trailing behind by 32 points to win the game.

Beverly took a huge chance against Klay Thompson and ended up scoring 17 points with 14 rebounds on the night.

Steve Kerr, Warriors coach said, “I think that Patrick Beverly just came in and kicked our butts. He came to the court with more energy than our guys and set a sore for his team.”

James Harden and the Houston Rockets are now waiting for the second round series with the winner of Clippers VS Warriors. They are waiting for a shot against the defending champion but Clippers are telling them to just wait.

Game 6 between Warriors and Clippers will be played in Los Angeles on Friday.
