James Dolan; Knicks owner threatens to ban the fan who yelled at him ‘Sell the team

James Dolan, the New York Knicks NBA team owner responded in a threatening manner to a fan who yelled “Sell the team” at him after he was leaving his seat at the Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. Dolan after hearing fan’s comment stopped and remarked that the fan was rude and also threatened him in a seemingly normal manner to ban him from the arena.

The video was obtained by TMZ which showed Dolan walking to the railing where the fan was standing and said to him, “You really think I should sell the team? You do not want to come to any more games?”

After the fan told him that this was his opinion, Dolan said, “this I not an opinion, enjoying watching the games on TV.”

Dolan was then seen telling the security guys to hold him.

One spokesperson of the Madison Square Garden Company said, “Our policy is and will always remain that if you are disrespectful to anyone in our venues, you will not be able to rerun ever again.”

The owner was already done and frustrated seeing the Knicks lose to Sacramento Kings by 102-94 which was their fifth consecutive loss.

Knicks are currently the worst NBA team with 13-53 on the season.

In December last year, Dolan already told media that he does not rule out the possibility of selling the Knicks as he holds a responsibility to his shareholders.

Dolan also said that he has received the feelers at as much as 5 billion dollars but still no confirmed offers.

News has been circulating on the internet by a famous podcast host Bill Simmons of “The Ringers” that Dolan is courting 0ut offers to sell the team.

In response, the company stated, “This story is 100 percent false. There has been nothing done in this regard. There is no discussion about it. Not even plans to have such discussion.”
