Messi and Suarez’s late goals ended the game in 4-4 draw for Barcelona against Villarreal

On Tuesday night’s game of soccer between Barcelona and Villarreal, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both came to rescue of the team as they made late goals to end the game in draw at 4-4 on Tuesday. This was a match where both teams gave up their 2-goal lead at one time.

Messi managed to trifle in a free kick to make the score 4-3 in the 90th minute whereas Suarez shot a goal through the goalkeepers’ legs in what was the last kick of the match.

With this draw, the lead of Barcelona in Spanish league has been somewhat narrowed by 8 points.

They are now ahead of Atletico Madrid who earlier on Tuesday defeated Girona by 2-0 and will now visit Camp Nou on the weekend.

Ernesto Valverde, Barcelona coach said, “Luis is player that will be found in the right place at the very right time. He managed to pull out a game that was not going in our favor at the very last moment. As for Messi, he is a specialist of free kicks.”

Valverde has now given Messi some rest time before Barcelona’s Saturday match against Atletico along with their next week trip to play a match agsint Manchester United for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
