NBA’s all-time scoring list; LeBron James passes Michael Jordan for fourth place

If there is any monumental moment for passing someone, then it is LeBron James passing Michael Jordan for the fourth place on NBA’s All-Time Scoring list.

Los Angeles Lakers might be down in the dumps with their playoff hopes being disappeared completely. Had LeBron James not been injured, they might have made it into the playoffs by being the 10th in the Eastern Conference.

Heading into Wednesday night’s game, LeBron James was only 4 points behind Michael Jordan. He then scored his 13th point of the night in the second quarter to pass Jordan.

Regardless of the fact, that this had been a disappointing season for the Lakers and first with James; it is still special for James. All of the players who have played in NBA, only three are ahead of James.

If James decides to ply for the remainder of this season, he can finish with 32740 points by which he will surpass Kobe Bryant’s no. 3 all-time points scoring record of 33, 643 points next season. If he manages to move past Kobe Bryant, he will then only have Karl Malone’s 36928 points and Kareem Abdul Jabar’s 38387 points records.

However, James just doesn’t consider himself a scorer as he told media, “No, I am not a scorer. I have been telling myself since I was a kid that if I ever reach up to this point, I will not be defined as a scorer. If people take away scoring from me, I will still be able to impact a game positively. This is just who I am. I am not a scorer but an all-around basketball player. I am not just a passer or a rebounder, I can play everything.”

In the last two seasons, James already surpassed the big names on NBA’s All-Time scoring list like Moses Malone, Julius Erving, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain.
