Robert Griffin III, the backup QB of the Baltimore Ravens fractures thumb bone of his throwing hand in practice game

It seems that the backup QB of the Baltimore Ravens named Robert Griffin III cannot seem to catch a break, even before the regular season starts.  On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens announced that he has a fracture of a bone in his right hand and this will result in him missing the practice of team for the coming few weeks.

The injury sustained by Robert Griffin III was on Saturday during a practice game of the team that now results in him to be absent from the team for about 4 to 8 weeks.

Griffin was following up on a pass when his throwing hand suddenly collided with the helmet of Tim Lewis; the outside linebacker of the team. A video has been posted over social media which shows as Griffin jumps up and then throws down his thrown arm down in reaction to being struck with the helmet.

On Sunday, the QB himself tweeted as follows, “Everything you have been through will make you stronger.” He followed with “Praise God in the good times and the trying ones.”

Griffin was signed on by the Ravens last year in March for a two-year deal along with a 4.5 million dollars extension to Lamar Jackson. Next, on the list of the top draft pick up is Trace McSorely of the Penn State for QB’s position. If Griffin does not show up any time soon, Baltimore Ravens might have to look into more free agents.

After sustaining an ACL injury during the sophomore year at the Baylor; Griffin has been suffering for multiple injuries during his NFL career. He has now suffered from a torn ACL, LCL and Meniscus during a wild card game held back in 2012. He also dislocated his ankle during 2014’s season along with suffering from a broken shoulder during Ravens VS Browns game in the week 1 of the 2016 NFL season.
