India cricketers wear army camouflage caps in third ODI against Australia

In the third ODI match between India and Australia; Indian players wore the army camouflaged style caps. They wore these caps in soliditary for the paramilitary police officials killed in a militant attack by a Pakistan based terror group.

The suicide bombing which happened last month left 40 policemen killed in the Indian occupied Kashmir. As a result of this attack, India launched an airstrike inside Pakistan who also responded with an aerial strike the very next day.

This idea of wearing these army styled caps was presented by her former Indian team captain MS Dhoni who also happens to be an honorary Lieutenant Colonel of the India army.

Before this match, the Indian team’s current captain Virat Kohli said, “it’s a special cap. We have worn these caps as a sign of respect for the martyrs and their families.”

He further said to media that all the players in the match will be donating their fees to a national defense fund which will help out the defense people who died on duty. Virat Kholi lastly urged all the Indians to contribute in this national fund.
