In the NBA game of Los Angeles Clippers VS Los Angeles Lakers, Kawhi Leonard was making his debut for the Clippers. He made a splendid display of performance as he made 7 shots in a row in one stretch.
Doc Rivers, the coach of the Clippers said, “It is a great sign of leadership. He talks only with his game.”
On Tuesday night, Kawhi Leonard started his new chapter in the league as he scored 30 points to help the Clippers win over Lakers by 112-102 in the season-opening game.
Kawhi Leonard chose to play with Clippers because he had wanted to come back home and his family was the other reason. He said, “All of those emotions went through me again.”
Other players of Clippers like Lou Williams scored 21 points Montrezl Harrell came off the bench to add in his 17 points as Clippers started their 50th NBA season and their 36th season in Los Angeles. They were once the unlikely contender for the AB championships but with now Kawhi Leonard among their ranks, they are the strong contender.
Rivers said, “This is only one of the total 82 games. Next Question.”
Last season, Kawhi Leonard was playing with Toronto Raptors and was able to help them win their first-ever NBA championship while winning his 2nd one.
As for the Lakers, their new power duo of LeBron James and Davis Jr. were also amazing in their tag team. Davis added 25 points for the team while James scored 18 points.
They were both outshone by Danny green who scored 28 points which includes his 7 n3-pointer shots. This was the highest-scoring debut from any Lakers’ player in their history.
Up next, for LA Lakers is the ride back home at the Staples Center as they will host a game against the Utah Jazz. So far, Lakers are 25-12 against the Jazz in home games.
As for LA Clippers, they will be travelling to the Golden State for a game against Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
