San Francisco 49ers 20-7 Los Angeles Rams; 49ers Defense ensures team to remain unbeaten

San Francisco 49ers are still unbeaten at their campaign of this NFL season as they won against the LOS Angeles Rams by 20-7 on road. With a win over their NFC West rivals, 49ers are now 5-0 on the season.

Rams were able to score on the opening possession with Robert Wood having an 8-yard TD but after that, they were held by 49ers defense to remain scoreless. In addition to holding the Rams dead in their tracks, 49ers scored themselves 20 points.

The defense was the key point for the 49ers victory as Rams were held by them for only 165 yards following their QB Jared Goff getting sacked 4 times along with a forced fumble in the 1st half. They again made Rams do 3 more turnovers in the 4th quarter.

By the halftime, the game had been tied at 7-7 with  Jimmy Garoppolo having an interception near the goal line and then Robbie Gould missing the 4th field goal in a row.

In the 3rd quarter, 49ers were only able to have 12 yards whereas Garoppolo made up for his previous shortcoming with a 1-yard TD. As for the 2nd half, Rams suffered a fumble on their opening play.

Rams had the worst possible start of their 2nd half as Henderson failed to make Goff’s pitch and then fumbled on the 1st play.

With the game concluding, Rams will now start their 3-week road trip as they will first visit Atlanta Falcons for a game and then finishing the trip with a game against Pittsburgh Steelers. In between, they have a game in London against the Cincinnati Bengals for the Week 8 at the Wembley Stadium.

As for the 49ers, they will now be traveling to the East for a game against Washington Redskins who only had won so far of the season against the still winless team Miami Dolphins. They will be returning home for Week 8 game against the Carolina Panthers.
