Carl Yastrzemski, the legend of Boston Red Sox throws first pitch at the Fenway Park to his grandson Mike Yastrzemski

The series between the MLB teams Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants had already been a memorable one but they were made more spectacular after the Wednesday night.

On the night before the game, outfielder of the Giants Mike Yastrzemski made his first home run on the first game at the Fenway Park. It is the very same stadium, where his grandfather, the legend of the Boston Red Sox, had played for his entire 23-seaosn MLB career.

The 80 years old Carl Yastrzemski watched the game on Tuesday night from the stands but on the Wednesday night, he was the center of attention. Wearing out his no. 8 jersey of the Red Sox, Yaz, the Hall OF Famer, came to the mound for the 1st pitch ceremony. And the one who was to catch the ball behind the plate was none other than his grandson Mike Yastrzemski.

The moment is not only a memorable one for the Yaz family but also for the Red Sox.

As both the grandfather and the grandson embraced each other and walked to the respective dugouts, the crowd gave them a standing ovation full of praises.
