White scores his career-high of 36 points as Spurs win over Nuggets by 118-108

Derrick White, the San Antonio Spurs’ point guard after his every shot was screaming and stomping all around the court in the game against Denver Nuggets.

This was the first time that point guard has been out of character but Derrick also had not been in such a situation.

White scored his career-high of 36 points to lead the Spurs’ win over the Denver Nuggets by 118-109 on Thursday night. With this win, Spurs now have a 2-1 led over the Nuggets in their first round of the playoff series.

White said, “I just had a chip in my shoulder. I have been always like this. Just going out on the court to play the game and have fun.”

As for Denver Nuggets, they were led by Nikola Jokic, who scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

As for Nuggets’ point guard Jamal Murray who scored 21 of his total 26 points in the fourth quarter of the Tuesday night game to lead the team’s win to even the match, scored only 6 points in game 3.

Michael Malone, the Nuggets coach talking about White said, “There is no doubt in my mind that the performance of White actually reminded me of Murray’s performance of the 4th quarter. Derrick White played like he had not eaten in two days. He came out hungry and sent a very huge and clear message. I am anxious now to see how our guys will respond.”

Other players of Spurs such as DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points while LaMarcus Aldridge scored 18 points along with 11 rebounds and Rudy Gay added in his 11 points with 10 rebounds.

From nuggets side, Michael Beasley finished for the team with his 20 points while Gary Harris scored 12 points.

Game 4 will be played on Saturday in San Antonio.
